Do you need help heating your home? The Fuel Assistance program can help! The South Shore Community Action Council (SSCAC) is the local administering agency for the Mass Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). The Fuel Assistance / LIHEAP program is intended to provide assistance to those low-income households that are the most vulnerable to the high home heating costs many face in the New England area.

Fuel assistance
Housing Assistance administers rent and mortgage assistance to keep people safely housed across the Cape and Islands. Programs include RAFT (Residential Assistance for Families in Transition), Private Prevention, and the Workforce Housing Relief Fund.
If you had an increase in expenses or a decrease in income, you may be eligible for help. We will keep your application completely confidential, and our intake staff will help you navigate the process and determine your eligibility the programs we oversee.

South Coastal Counties Legal Services is committed to bringing justice to low-income residents throughout Southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and the Islands.
