The South Shore Community Action Council (SSCAC) is the local administering agency for the Mass Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). The Fuel Assistance / LIHEAP program is intended to provide assistance to those low-income households that are the most vulnerable to the high home heating costs many face in the New England area.

Fuel assistance
Housing Assistance administers rent and mortgage assistance to keep people safely housed across the Cape and Islands. Programs include RAFT (Residential Assistance for Families in Transition), Private Prevention, and the Workforce Housing Relief Fund.
